HI My Crafty Friends,
I can’t even believe summer is upon us! Time flies! I have a couple of exciting announcements in this email!
1. If you are looking to make some masculine themed cards, I’m holding a new Father’s Day Card Workshop on Saturday June 10, at 11am-12pm, hosted by Jiaren Cafe. It’s a non-profit community cafe/yoga studio in Santa Clara. I’m so excited I get to share my cardmaking with the community! And I LOVE yoga, so this opportunity was one I could not pass up!
The cafe is so cute, and they have unique boba and coffee drinks too! We will be making 3 masculine themed cards – a Father’s Day Card, a Happy Birthday Card, and a Thank you card. I would love to see you at the workshop, and if the timing works out for you, I encourage you to sign up!
Space is limited to 12.
Please sign up using the Eventbrite link here.
2. The 2023 Minority Mental Health Fair at Hellyer County Park will be on Saturday July 22, 10am-3pm! I’m going to be showcasing a wellness resource booth there again, highlighting Lifestyle Medicine Resources, and also a table with some easy make and take crafts for art therapy. I would love to have some volunteers help me with the booth. Last year Naomi, Jennifer, and Suzie helped me with the crafts and resources. This year Naomi will be away, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
PLEASE SAVE THE DATE and let me know if you can be available for an hour or two (or more!). Even if you don’t have time to volunteer, just come to the fair to learn about the community resources that are available for mental health.
Last year we made wood slice ornaments, and I’m thinking about doing the same thing this year. See photos below from last year below.
This year’s event flyer is below:
3. We had a fun time at last month’s Crafternoon Make and Take in my home. I had 12 friends over and we made 3 cards, and got to play with the Spellbinder’s Hot Foiling System.
Thank you for being a part of my crafting community, and I’d love to hear how you have been and what projects you’ve been working on recently?
Thanks for reading and I hope you get some time to nourish your soul by creating something you love!
love
sheila
